Finding YOUR own Style

Finding your own style is very important. Your style says a lot about you... whether you know it or not. Whether you wear bright colours or simple colours, patterns or no patterns, even the type of clothing is important. Everyone has their own individual style, which makes them unique and makes them an individual. Fashion is a way to say who you are without having to say a word.

When starting to identify what style is, it is key to stay true to who you are and to not fall into someone else's shadow. Fashion is a way for you to express your interests, personality and your identity. If you're coping someone else's style and being exactly like them, you're not being true to you. Are you? It's more important to be you no matter what other people think. Don't worry about what they think of you because you are unique and that's their opinion. Don't let other people's opinion dull you shining light.

As Anne Hathaway said... "I think fashion is a lot of fun. I love clothes. More than fashion or brand labels, I love design. I love the thought that people put into clothes. I love when clothes make cultural statements and I think personal style is really cool. I also freely recognize that fashion should be a hobby." Anne's quote is 100% relatable. Because putting items together, looking at yourself in the mirror and thinking to yourself, "Damn I look good!", is important for self-confidence and it affects how you look at yourself throughout the day. If you don't like what you wearing... why wear it? Fashion isn't a chore where you have to wear a certain item because of peer-pressure or because of your family. Fashion is something to enjoy and something to have a passion for. Fashion looks better when you feel good on the inside.

The main reason for me to start this blog is to inspire others around me and make everyone feel good about themselves and in what you choose to wear. In this blog, I have decided to stay true to myself and what I enjoy. To me, fashion shows and the models that walk down that runway is inspiration for what I can wear in day to day life. I've been told that will never fit into a size 6 dress or be as skinny as a model but I have found self-confidence in my own body and I have become comfortable with who I am. I know that my body type isn't a certain shape and I have accepted that. I encourage everyone to look at themselves and have confidence in themselves because everyone is beautiful not matter what type of body you have. I'm not a overly large person but I'm not small. I don't have a small petite body, I have a strong build (as my mum says). There is absolutely nothing wrong with being a larger woman or smaller woman, having a petite body or a strong build. Each and every woman is beautiful no matter what they look like.

Now I'll tell you a little bit about why I started getting into fashion. Fashion is a way for me to express myself and show who I am without having to say a single word. Fashion is a way for me to show my personality in a physical form. Today I went into one of my favourite stores and tried on a dress and a denim jacket. After we decided to buy the clothes I got inspired even more. I wonder what I could wear with the denim jacket or the dress that we brought. Once the outfit was brought I just couldn't take it off, I just felt so confident in it. So that's what I encourage everyone reading this to do. If you decide to embrace this challenge here's what I wish for you to do... Go to your absolute favourite store of all time and try on an outfit that you adore and feel comfortable in, (just keep in mind that the best outfit for you may not first you come across) once you found your outfit, have a look in the mirror and have a look at how amazing you look. If you want to take a couple of photos of yourself, so you can share your positive experience with your friends and family. Maybe you can encourage them to read this blog so they can feel inspired and empowered just like you. You may also recommend your loved ones to do the same as you, when you went into your favourite store. If you choose not to take on this little challenge, just take a moment now to appreciate how amazing your body really is and feel good within the comfort of your own home. If your feeling up to it, treat yourself to a some "you" time. Maybe go to a spa, get a massage, go shopping, have a dance party at home. Whatever makes you happy and comfy.

So to everyone out there, here is some more advice. Feeling confident in what you're wearing makes you have confidence in yourself, so then throughout your day you will have a massive positive energy around you. Believing in yourself and believing in what you're wearing, makes you stronger as an individual. Believing and having confidence in yourself, strengthens the relationship that you have with your body. Your body is beautiful and it's something that you should be proud of.

Stay beautiful!
